1st Fun under the Sun~ TM Galore!

Boy! It’s not summer yet but I’m preparing myself for all the adventure that I’ll be taking this year. Last year I said I can’t stand the sun, so when the summer sun arrives I was nowhere to be found--- but was able to see the beach just for a glance at least in bataan and batangas but seriously it was hot.

This year I will take the heat and enjoy everything. For starter I had a simple get away with my team to Antipolo, this is actually a late Christmas celebration since last December our schedules are loaded and we decided to focus more on our priority, our family. We rented a private place to spend our night singing and swimming the entire cold January night (which I wasn’t able to do because I can’t stand the water, its freaking cold).

Chocolate Fire ~ For your Dessert Lustful Desire!

Last Saturday my Gals and I went to celebrate my cousin Vivi and Joli’s Birthday we had dinner at Chungkiwa *Korean of course*, then after dinner we decided to go at Chocolate Fire for desserts and coffee.

*I was snatching photos while waiting for my turn to order but was told by one of the crew that they prohibit taking photos of their chocolate, good thing I was able to snatch some shots, hihihi Sorry, Promise I won't do it again*

Chocolate Fire is located at PDCP Building Corner of Leviste St. and Rufino St. Makati, It's the Chocolate Deli all the way from Australia and it's the home of the finest Belgian Chocolates here in Manila. They offer wide variety of chocolate, dozens of them *I had trouble choosing with my already fickle mind*, they also offer Coffee, Food and Drinks. There’s also a mini bar where you can drink and smoke, so it's a cafe, lounge, bar and resto all rolled into one.

I had Chocolate mousse and Cappuccino and the rest of the gals ordered Chocolate Dipped Pringles, American Dream Bark w/Cereals, Chocolate Ganache, Tiramisu and Abby ordered something that was molded in a small container in shapes of lips and heart…I don’t know how it is called. And for drinks they had Hot chocolate and Sheila Had Hot chocolate with soy milk. Everything was delicious, the chocolate was so smooth, it melts in your mouth and the sweetness is perfect, it will leave you craving for more. We shared our orders so that everyone will be able to experience each of our mouthwatering dessert!

I’m a chocolate lover although I’ve been restricting myself from eating too much chocolate. I love Dark Chocolates, it’s one of my guilt pleasure *aside from coffee* I would surely go back and try out some more of their Deli!

Well, we had fun and enjoyed the night with our table full of goodies but that doesn’t end there because while we were busy chatting and laughing the barista went to our table and serve us Raspberry Rum, I was like “oh, we didn’t order drinks…” he said “Ma’am, It’s on the house we are giving these to you for free” teehee! And we were all smiles saying thank you!

The Super Random Roadtrip to Tagaytay!

Long weekend, my cousins and I was feeling kinda bored so we planned a last minute trip. At 11pm, Sunday night we decided to head for a ride. The plan was to go somewhere *unsure* but we have to drop by at our cousin’s dorm in Carmona, Cavite. The reason (unbelievable): he forgot his cellphone charger and he wants us to bring it to him. Wow! For the time, gas and the toll fee just for a cellphone charger! But since we'll be going to Cavite we thought that we’ll just drop by at Tagaytay and eat somewhere.

The roadtrip is so freaking random. First, we tried looking for away going to Tagaytay thru Carmona and realized after few kilometers that’s its too far, end up going back. Exiting carmona and going to Sta. Rosa we only spend 4 pesos for the toll fee and finally found our way. When we arrived at Tagaytay we don’t have any exact place in mind so we went back and forth the highway looking for a place to eat. Maybe eat Bulalo or eat at one of the restos, then have coffee and laugh at Starbucks after. Unfortunately, since we left Manila at 11pm we arrived at Tagaytay at past 1am, all the restaurants were close. hahaha! but there's McDonald, the only place that is open 24hours. Arrgh!

After which, we thought that the trip was a waste but we still wanna drag ourselves and try our luck. So we started looking for a coffee shop since Starbucks is already close. Again we are wasting precious time and gas driving around Tagaytay. At 3am we quit looking for coffee and ended up taking pictures at Tagaytay Econo Hotel, hahaha! Just like your regular Duday and Dodong but since its 3am no one was there to notice our mischievous trip and we just don’t care, we’re just too happy to mind other people who are watching us!

We stop at a long line of flower vendors, my aim is to take my 365 on that area and I was welcomed by a vendor who thought I’ll be buying flowers, hehehe! So I have to think of a way to snatch pictures, I ended up inquiring for wedding flower arrangement and getting their contact infos and whatnot, *lols sorry ate!* We also stop by some fruit stands but there’s no one to assist us so we left. We had stopovers at some pitstop and gasoline stations just for the sake of stopping over. lols

We had so much fun that night and we promise to do it again. By the way, we didn't quit searching for coffee shop on our way down Tagaytay but luck is not on our side. I wonder if the coffee Gods are punishing us and we end up drinking coffee at home! hahaha! nothing beats 3-in-1 coffee! Darn!

And this is The Most Awesomeness (Random) Photo of the Day:

I took this inside the car on our way home while waiting for Nico who's buying cig at 7/11. I was amazed with the outcome, totally random nice selca. I really like this shot. I didn't even use my SLR just the regular digicam and edit the photo using Picasa, add shadow and manipulate the color and walla! A Perfect Artistic Profile Shot!

Chungkiwa for your Korean Food Cravings!

My cousin and I discovered this resto one time while looking for authentic Ramen *that she was craving* and Bibimbap *that I was dying to have that day*. First, we went to a ramen house but I find it weird that they are selling spaghetti so I said I don’t wanna eat there. So we went to Gen Luna where we saw Chungkiwa, they have a big tarpaulin outside the resto that shows their menu but it was all in Hangul. Looking at it, I thought that they might be serving authentic dish with affordable prices.

My first Stop:

We went inside and were greeted by Filipina servers, the restaurant setting was not that fancy, they have tables with grill holes and they have a fridge filled with huge array of side dishes. I never had a hard time ordering because I knew what I like but they still provide us the menu with Romanized characters and pictures. I ordered Dolsot Bibimpap and my cousin ordered Fish Cake. They started serving the banchan all 7 of them kimchi, macaroni salad, myulchi bokkem (dilis in sugar glazed), dubo jorim (tofu in soy sauce mix) and other preserved dish. The good thing about this resto is their side dishes can be refilled (unlimited) and they offer big serving. I’m happy with how they serve my bibimbap, it’s like I’m really eating in Korea. The owner is a Korean that's why they know how to prepare the food in a traditional way and their ingredients are authentic not to mention the price is super affordable.

The food:

After a few weeks I went back to Chungkiwa to bring my agents and they were all satisfied. We tried most of their dishes and we were all happy with how it taste. We had Samyeopsal wrap in sangchu (grilled pork belly wrap in lettuce), soondubujjigae (soft tofu stew with beef in spicy soup) , Seolleongtang (Beef stew with cellophane noodles and beef slices), Gimbap (rice wrap in seaweed) with Octopus, Bibimbap ( Spinach, mushroom, sea tangle, carrots, bean sprouts, beef slices, egg toppings served with gochujang and rice, you have to mix it well and add the rice and gochujang depending on the level of spiciness that you like), Sushi Bibimbap ( just like the regular bibimbap the beef was just replaced with sushi). We also tried drinking soju! After our meal they serve us Insam Cha a Korean ginseng tea and it's for free whenever you eat there.

The happy eaters ^^v:

I went to Mega mall and eat at a Korean restaurant there but I was disappointed with how they prepare my food. I told myself that I will never in other Korean resto but only in Chungkiwa, nothing can beat their food.

For 365: Camwhoring @ Chungkiwa ^^:

Chungkiwa is located in Gen Luna, Makati. They are open from 10am- 12pm, if you want more info you can call them at (02)385-1069. They have Filipino waitresses that can help you choose the food that you like and are willing to explain the dishes so you won’t be disappointed with your orders. I give them two thumbs up!

How Bizarre~ September!

Things aren't sailing the way I wanted it to be, but this September I expect my winds to shift into a different direction. And just when I thought that everything is at mess--- tadah! A savior scooped me out of the puddle of mud! And I skip and hop and hum!

Technically I should not be greeting everyone a Merry Christmas, it’s too early for merry greetings but since I’m in the mood ~~~Merry Christmas ^^

August was a burden on the later part and I was annoyed by some people especially with the one who send me that nasty email…Hahaha! I had written my two cents about that issues but it’s something that I should not talk about when I’m feeling a little gorgeous. But I still wanna put some excerpts of what I have written. Here it goes:

Thing are really getting annoyingly out of hand and I’m on the verge of frying that man! Yeah, I’m pissed off the fact that those kids don’t know what the heck they are talking about made me cringe in anger. I would never and doesn’t have any intention of destroying their relationship, the fact that those tweets are under my accounts and no name was mentioned clearly states that I won’t meddle in their issues and those are mine if anyone would react then I shall say you are guilty as charge. Unfortunately, as he effin claim that he is not lurking in my life ~isn’t true, the fact that he send me those nasty email in conjunction to what I have tweet and accused me of prowling in his life is an effin lie because he wouldn’t react if he was not silently reading my tweets and this blog at the comfort of his own friggin time! Aha! You are reading my blog! Hohoho! Caught you! Sneaky sneaky!

You! on the other hand, would understand when you grow up that these things are too complicated to handle and would hope it won’t happen to you! I’m sure when the right time comes you would thank me for being this straight. Are you ready to handle the consequences of your action? Are you ready to get involve in a difficult situation that would require emotional and legalities not to mention facing the truth that we are in? Are you ready to let everyone including your Fam (if you are that bad serious abt it) know the truth about your relationship without losing their trust, humiliating or hurting them? Those are the questions that you should be asking yourself because no matter how you deny the fact we cannot run away! Yes WE! Hehehe I’m part of it so lets partey like it’s hot!

I for a fact don’t want to get involve with that person in any form of relationship. He put me in a great deal of humiliation and destroyed what I have worked hard to achieve and I would never forgive him on that matter. The fact that he is so selfish, stubborn and inconsiderate of mine and the little boy’s situation is unacceptable and I would never pay the respect that he is claiming to earn. You mister doesn’t deserve any reverence in any form. And I have never loathed anyone in my years of existence and you will always remind me of that feeling, no matter how I resist anger. And I (in God’s time) will commit myself again, but until that right time comes I won’t involve anyone at my mess because I believe in K-A-R-M-A! *Chameleon, they come and go wooh-ooh!*

The end.

**I might scrub this out after 3 days or so, I don’t want to taint my space. I know--- I said it’s just an excerpt but 'twas long believe me when I say that I have cut it to make it short. I think I have written like 2000 words for that issue alone! Hahahaha!

September is giving me a good vibes. IDK, but I smell scents of lilies and pine trees it gives me a good feeling. My mood is perfect and before I knew it I’ll be hearing Christmas carols plus the weather is getting breezy. I’m getting the Christmas jitters. So welcome Ber-months!

Oh and for my playlist, I’ve been listening to Bice *pronounce as bee-che* she’s a Japanese singer/songwriter, she composed several anime soundtrack like Mahoraba~ Heartful days, Kirarin Revolution and Kimi wa petto (Japanese Manga Adaptation). Unfortunately she died of heart attack last July 26, 2010, she’s just 38 years of age. She’s a genius songwriter and according to her last blog she was supposed to release a song or collaborate for an upcoming anime. I specially love her songs Cloudy Sky, Like Someone in love, Akubi, Tsusunde Ageru, and An apple a day. Her song Like Someone in Love and Cloudy Sky is constantly playing on my list. I’m thinking of cutting my bangs in full to show my heartfelt tribute to her ^^ Rest in Peace Bice. Kanpai anata no jinsei ni!

Anyways, here’s a preview of what I did on the first day of September, I’ll be writing about the place and the food on a different account. This was at Chungkiwa my favorite Korean Restaurant in Makati, I’ve been there a couple of times so I think they deserve some commendation ^^jalmugutseumnida! Kamsahamnida!^^

Welcome September! Give me some good clouds ^^v

Hey you SELF, what’s up?

I've been busy going around my Technicolor life. Here are some of them in photos:

There’s a new craze in town, it’s the SCRAMBLE baby! I wasn’t really sure about it at first because I remember how I was deprived by my mother to eat those yummy pink concoctions when I was a kid. But WTH I’m old enough to decide for myself, hehehe I can now eat those hepatitis mix without being scold and beside it’s being sold in the mall so I assume it went through a food screening process and certification.

I’m a cat. I eat rice in a can, meow! This is lunch Paella in can. I find it weird at first because all I can think of when I saw Roland eating them is “Friskies” *Cat Food* lols but one time I was really craving for rice and I can’t find any at Ministop and I can’t order take-outs so I settled with Paella in can, not a bad idea, although it doesn’t taste as good as the real Paella and little pricey for 39 pesos but good enough to fill my tummy.

I’m a Japanese and Korean food lover, actually I also lurpe Thai and other Asian cuisine and as much as I would hate to admit I lurpe eating and I enjoy food. Taken at Kaya! I had (again) Dolsot Bibimbap and I'm not really that satisfy with how they prepare my food, quite pricey and not as authentic as those restos in Makati. But I lurpe their Kimchi and Myulchi bokkeum, unfortunately you have to pay for each side dish, tsk that's not fair considering how small their serving is hmmm....I've learned my lesson.

Ramen or Ranyum (as how they call it in Korea) is one of my comfort food. I love this Nong Shim Shin Raymun Spicy Mushroom; I love how it tastes when it’s a little cold. I usually buy at few packs for my msg-cravings supply and I also love the Spicy kimchi ranyum and wash it down with oolong tea, oh man!

This was taken a few weeks ago when my brother and I went for a little shopping, actually he was the one who went on shopping and I was just a by stander, hehehe.

Trying out clothes for myself and I was also assigned to choose a dress for Jess ( Bro's GF) and try em. We went from one store after another. I enjoy having him around, you see, he is not the typical guy who would glare at you when you enter a boutique and would rather wait outside, he’s the type who would be kind to accompany you and even check if the clothes suits your style or not. Clap clap to my brother!

We got that bohemian inspired dress for Jess and I got a navy inspired dress and a chic of the edge Japanese inspired dress that I wasn’t able to take photos because I was so excited fitting them. But I got to try out the mannequin’s hair! Hohoho!

Paper Crane Folding 101. I don’t know what has gotten into me but maybe because I’m a Joongbo Fan, yes I am and i love them both hehehe! I said why not study how to fold one! I remember elementary days when kids are showing off their skills in origami folding and I was a lazy-oh-not-so-interested but now I know how to fold one with the help of (of course) Internet!!! Hehehehe!

Gracey’s Birthday Treat at Gilligans. We gave her some cupcake treats and a little cake so she can blow her wish! =) Go get a Boyfriend! oh and it's on process...bwaaaahahaha!

Wacky got a little under the weather. I rushed him to medical city because his fever won’t subside. He was absent in school for 3 days and I was a little panicky because there’s a dengue outbreak in our village luckily it was just a simple flu. Really handsome despite the fact of being sick, he still manage to pose in a 39.4 temperature. His face is really charming. He always gets a second look from people and when he speaks, he speaks with wit. That's my Joaquin.

Lastly here’s a picture to represent my position in the email that I received few days ago! Cover your eyes to feel no pang of guilt, hate or whatsoever. And eat Fruits it will help you decrease your paranoia and increase your happy thoughts! Lols

Peace out!

August~ the last month before the Ber Months

I’m predicting that this month I shall double my size. I started starving myself last year October by a bet with my friends that I’ll be treating them for lunch if they caught me eating rice. I won the bet and never get to treat them their fancy lunch.

This month August, yes! the month before the Ber month starts, I started eating like there’s no tomorrow. August 1 my agent treat me for a free lunch, I'll be stupid if I’ll be saying no, so I joined the wagon. After that free lunch my friend texted me asking what time she should pick me up because we had set a cooking spree for that day. When I got there my cousin texted me asking for my location because everyone’s at the house eating 3 kinds of pasta and pizza and I have to be there since its Sheila birthday (my cousin). I excused my self from the cooking spree and told them I’ll be back before 9pm . I was full and can’t move my ass when I got back at my friends house. When I got there we started eating again and after much discussion we decided to go to the wake of a friend’s father. And a few minutes after, my cousin texted me again saying that we will be going to wensha spa for an overnight pampering I was torn between the two groups, so I did my best to divide my time. My cousins will pick me up at St. Peter’s Chapel at 1 am so we can all go to the Spa and by the way Wensha offers eat all you can buffet so I was again shoving food inside my mouth, Shabu-shabu this time. Aside from eating too much my schedule was over loaded which I feel happy about since I love doing various activities.

Ok I also started this month by not sleeping at all august 1-2 I was awake for the entire 40 hours. Nyah what’s new?

Continuing my food journey this august, my brother who resides in Singapore will be here for a vacation and as usual when our family gets together we have a habit of indulging with food. We are a foody family, we enjoy food and conversation, and it’s one of the bonding moments that we will always share.

So August 3 before we pick up my brother at the airport my cousin Sheila and I had a Korean lunch at Chongkewang in Makati while waiting for the rest to pick us up. I had a Dolsot Bibimbap and Sheila had a fish cake plus the side dishes that goes with our meal. I was soooo full the restaurant offers big serving and the side dishes are awesome. At 3pm we hurried to the airport and when my brother arrived we decided to have dinner at YakiMix MOA the restaurant opens a 5:30 pm so I signed up and we are 3rd on the list … and I was doomed after. We left the resto at 8pm. I was really full but I can’t help but take a sampler of all the Sushi, Maki, Sashimi, it’s my weakness. We also grilled some shrimp, squids, salmon, and all possible beef and pork marinade. The dessert table is a fancy eye lure, I was smiling at the cup cakes and cakes and pastries and egg tart and ice ream with your choice of candy topping, I’m having hard time breathing just recalling how I devour all of those. Hay life is good when you enjoy the food and the people you eat with.

It’s my first week in August and while I’m writing this I’m waiting for the caterer to arrive here in the Office… yup another binge eating for me. Oh lord please give me the right amount of metabolism to burn all this before I turn myself into a pumpkin. Happy august everyone ^^
