Hamilo Coast Beach Bumming!

Last October 2, my friends and I decided to pack our things and check the beach. I have a friend who knows someone who owns a unit in Hamilo Coast, so my good friend got us a pass to stay at the exclusive beach club, hehe!

The trip was 3-4 hours drive from Manila. We were facing a bad weather so we have to be extra careful on the road. On the way we made some stopover at Tagaytay to buy all of the stuffs that we will need. It was cold and foggy that day, we arrived in Tagaytay at 2 in the afternoon and it seriously looks like 6pm, and it was raining on and off. But we were being mischievous taking pictures and having fun, not minding the bad weather and time.

Surprise! Surprise! And Random Stuffs!

This is what they prepared for me ^^
I was so happy, I can’t even stop laughing! ^^

I love surprises! Last April 13 my team surprised me by decorating my work area with balloons and colorful papers. They also cooked Pancit (sautéed rice noodles), bought flowers and cake for my birthday. They even prepared the drinks and utensils to be used, whew!. I, on the other hand just bought Pandesal and Peanut butter plus Ice Cream. I didn't come to work on my actual birthday because I wanted to spend the entire day with Wacky. But just the same my team was able to give me the most sweetest surprise ^^

I love this People!
Thank you guys! Thank you for all the love and
for giving your best in everything you do!

On my birthday eve, Wacky went home a little late, but we still manage to do our plan, our slumber partey. We stayed up until 3am eating Ice cream, chips, watching cartoons, reading books and playing. I love Wacky to death. I'm his no.1 fan! lol
He prepared this Dreamy Princess Ice Cream for My Birthday!

Now I'll be posting some Random stuff.

You got to check out the little girl in the middle. lol. And now she's all that! All of that!

Mygoodriddance!

Wacky mi hijo, muy Bonito! a lot of people are asking if his father is a Korean or Japanese, in some cases I manage to make them believe that his Father is actually in Seoul Korea. LOL. Oh boy! how I laugh! We both have that naughty side. I think he manage to inherit my sarcasm and wittiness! lol He's very intelligent, I hope he maintains his outstanding grade. His last report card showed his grade range between 97-100%, how's that!?

Wackz

And I'm a sucker for nice little things! below are the random me in photos! things that scream my name in one way or another. ^^
Me!

Let's all be happy! Live life. Keep it steady and warm! Thank You! Cheers!

Listening to Bice 'Like Someone In Love' try to search for that song, (maybe in youtube) then look for the one that doesn't have any lyrics but humming and lalala (lol) it's really beautiful ^^

Mt. Gulugod Baboy: A Hidden Wonderland

Two weeks after Boracay I was again up in my toes getting ready for another hike. This time it’s a combo hitting a mountain and the beach. Mt. Gulugod baboy is located in Anilao, Mabini, Batangas. A minor climb with a Difficulty of 2/9, 525 MASL and Trail Class 1-2 (techie techie info from pinoymountaineer) it was easier to climb than Mt Romelo although technically higher.

I was the one who suggested the place since I’ve seen a lot of info and pictures from various blogs I stumbled upon. I felt that Mt Gulugod would fire whatever sparks we have for climbing. And I was not wrong, after all it was indeed a taste of heaven near Manila.

Boracay in Dazed

Rah Rah Borahrah!

Last February my Good Friend Lotlot (not her real name hehehe) booked a flight for 5 of us to Boracay. Originally the plan was just to have a good summer outing at Sagada for four days. But since our good friend was able to sniff some info on ticket sales to Caticlan we were able to divert the plan to the beach thus instantly reducing of the number of participant from more than 12 to 5. So off we go planning for our trip. Funny how we rarely contact each other not until March, two days before the said trip lol. March 19-22, 2011

My first time riding a small plane, flying domestic I was anxious at first
and my first time travelling far with my friends. Yes too many FIRST!

First day when we arrive at the island everything seems like I’m in a hurry and strikingly calm (bipolar). I haven’t had a long vacation and my body was really aching for it. I hate the fact that vacations sometimes can put more stress and can totally change the idea of resting with no worries.  I was feeling chill all over, I mean relax and cool about what’s going to happen in next couple of days at the same time stress. Thinking can we all put together all the plans that we have since time is catching so much of our free days.  So we headed on the shore and try to capture our sunset and played with the sand on our feet. Went on happy hour and witness a Chinese man proposing to his girlfriend. And I was oh-what-the-firth-she-is-so-darn-lucky! while I was there at the side cheering and shooting my cam and cursing all the lovely things around! Har! Hahahaha! Kidding!

Now more pictures and stories...

I’m Blank!

Summer Love!
Ok, I know that I failed (almost) to put here my activity for the month of March and April. First off, I’m feeling a little lazy (it’s nothing but natural) and I’ve been writing and deleting all that are suppose to be posted here, moody me. My spirit have been high these past few months but from time to time I feel sluggish (which reminds me how normal my life is), plus I’ve been sleeping a lot and the tons of pictures to be posted are taking much of my time. In Bora we have a total of 2000++ photos and In Gulugod almost 800 Photos. Take that!

Let me tell you that I’ve been to places these past few weeks. As what I have written on my last post, yeah I went to the beach, Boracay Baby! And I’m going to give a full account of what happened there (I went Man Hunting- chinky eyes searching, actually. jk!) and the things that you can do to enjoy your stay. Watch out for my Boracay entry. Then just recently I went mountain climbing to Mt. Gulugod Baboy, Mabini, Batangas, I’ll be describing the place although you can also find some information in some blogs here at WWW but mine will be for kikays (make face) hahahaha! Our next stop will be river trekking in Daraitan and after that, we are still laying the plan whether to take Mt. Daguldol, Piko De Loro, Mt. Sembrano, Mt Batulao or swim the waters of Pagbilao in Borawan and Lukang Beach first. Whatever comes first it doesn’t really matter, just the same we’ll be having fun and making good memories.

I’ll be posting some of my favorite photos for preview today and will be spamming on my next post soon. Ready!?

Hike to Mt. Romelo: Lord I Gotta Keep On Moving!

Mt. Romelo Trek

Mt Romelo is located in Siniloan Laguna but often referred to as Mt. Famy. It is said that Mt. Romelo is a minor climb with just 300 MASL (meters above sea level) often a destination for first time hikers with difficulty level of 2/9.
Excited Hikers

On the way to Mt. Romelo

After our shift we hurried to fix our stuff and double check the things we will need for the trip. A little disruption came when our ride told us that they won’t be able to pick us up at Makati so we have to commute to Shell Ortigas our new meeting place. When we got there we were greeted by MC’s Friends a.k.a. our guide Richie, Ikyut and Mike and off we head to Laguna passing by the town of Rizal. We arrived at 3pm at Great Valley it’s the mountaineers stop over before and after the climb. We decided to eat first since Richie told us that it would take us a few hours to reach the campsite, he estimated our arrival time would be at around 8pm since we are all beginners. We ate at one of the carinderia that offers scrumptious homemade siopao, siomai and mami at a very cheap price.

1st Fun under the Sun~ TM Galore!

Boy! It’s not summer yet but I’m preparing myself for all the adventure that I’ll be taking this year. Last year I said I can’t stand the sun, so when the summer sun arrives I was nowhere to be found--- but was able to see the beach just for a glance at least in bataan and batangas but seriously it was hot.

This year I will take the heat and enjoy everything. For starter I had a simple get away with my team to Antipolo, this is actually a late Christmas celebration since last December our schedules are loaded and we decided to focus more on our priority, our family. We rented a private place to spend our night singing and swimming the entire cold January night (which I wasn’t able to do because I can’t stand the water, its freaking cold).

The Musical Oeuvre--Kevin and Kaye!

Last 2009 when Kaye told me they have plans of getting married I was excited. They were still on the stage of planning and don’t have any slight idea to begin with. So when Kaye told me that she wants me to be her Maid of Honor I was a little bit surprise because with all honesty I’m not the best person to speak with when it comes to marriage (go figure lol). But because they’re both good friends and I would like to offer all the help that I can give and Kaye is more like a little brat sister to me I accepted her proposal. And so the musical idea begins.

We like to Party! The Lotlot and Friends Style

Last Christmas I was (again) task to organize a party for my friends (I think it’s becoming their habit). We rented a room in a cheap hotel just to make it more private and here are some of the scenes.
Alright, that's not a real gun that's from Vanity's wii and being a poser of course it won't escape my camera.

Lessons of 2010

One thing that I’ve learn this year is that the only thing that is constant is change, we change a lot, people change may it be for better or for worst—they change. You can’t be too complacent, you can’t be too trusting, and you can’t be too assumptive. You should put value in yourself and believe in your heart. And amidst all those changes I have learned to look at those who are still standing still, those who showed loyalty. All in all this year was not bad.

Budjie & Vanity's Red Wedding!

Vanity and Budjie’s Wedding…The much awaited event! Everything went smoothly the way it was planned. Travel was the wedding theme mainly because this couple loves travelling. It was overwhelming how my friend Vanity has planned her dream wedding starting with the invitation (passport and plane tickets to their wedding) to the color scheme to every details like the church, reception, the table assignment which was named after all the places they’ve been to— just to name a few Hongkong, Macau, Singapore, Bohol, Boracay, Palawan, Cebu and much more, their souvenirs which came from those different places and not to mention the after party!

Kaye’s Bridal Shower!

This is soooo overdue but I promise myself that I will blog about the things that took place this month according to the succession of events. So I’m not in a hurry to write about the most recent happenings but I will go through it one by one till I reach the most current and that is Kaye’s wedding, the last wedding that I’ll be serving as a maid of honor ---at least for this year. ^^

The Bachelorette partey! Vanity Speak thy Name!

My head’s still pounding from last night’s party! The reasons why I won’t be able to describe everything that transpired between 7pm and 12am...ummm... oh well, blame all those alcoholic beverages *told you self dozens of times, you can’t drink all the available alcohol in the table!*

The party's theme was Sex and the City and of course everyone one was required to come in with their nice little outfits and they all look fantabulous^^. We had a special guess and I don’t know what happened but we all died after those two songs, haha! It was a successful party, we had simple food and drinks but the most important part of throwing a bridal shower is the presence of the Bride’s friends. Luckily almost everyone made it.

The location is in VC Pasig and the room was marvelous. Austin Power room~ all I can say is “yeah baby yeah!” *Mike Myers Accent*

I had fun and I hope everyone does too! One good thing I lurve about this event is that I’ve gain a lot of new friends!

Oh well, I have to start working on the next bridal shower…This time it’s for Kaye! Don’t we just love being a girl!

The Party Girls!

And these are the Girls who will never grow up! Playful kids!

I recommend to all my ladies to Eat. Pray. LOVE.

It all started last Sunday when my cousin put this shout out on her wall, she said “I want to watch EAT PRAY LOVE who’s with me?” and I hit the like button and so as one of our friends. Next thing I know she’s already telling me the time she would pick me up. You see my gals’ works in speed, hehe!

Off we go to Power Plant with my sleeplessness psyche, half way to the mall I took the liberty of sleeping and from time to time would butt in at their conversation. They woke me up when we’re in the parking lot, so much for my 20 mins of slumber, power nap indeed.

I was looking forward to watching this movie although I was hoping that I can speed read it before going to the big screen, but my cousin won’t let me do that, she’s so determine to watch the movie that even if I beg for a 5 days allowance to read it first, she will still insist. So I was there, no sleep since Friday night but armed with my Macchiato and curiosity, I went there hoping I won’t lose my mind to sleep.

Eat Pray Love is a story about a woman searching for life’s balance, the not-to-miss opportunities and finding freedom and self realization in life. The book was written by Elizabeth Gilbert, she accounts her experience travelling around the world, her divorce, the people she met and her discoveries in every trip. She gave a full description of her life experience and shared it with her reader. The title EAT PRAY LOVE represents her journey and discoveries in the three countries she have visited, ITALY, INDIA, INDONESIA. The film adaptation carries the same title and Gilbert was portrayed by Julia Roberts, judging from the reviews and some synopsis that I have read, I believe that Roberts and the Director of the film was able to give justice to the movie.

Now I’m craving to read the book, so bad that I’m turning into loco searching the net, but on second thoughs I think it is something that I should really have, I meant a hard copy, so next pay day I’m going to run to the nearest bookstore and get myself two of her books, the EAT PRAY LOVE and the sequel~ COMMITED: A Skeptic Makes Peace with Marriage. And now I’m also planning to purchase all of her written books, hehehe, The last American man, The Stern Men and Pilgrims. I got myself a project to work onto.

After the movie we were all craving for pasta but a t 11 pm I doubt if any decent chef would be happy cook for us. Dang! I was craving for Vongole! Well, I told my couz that if we can’t eat pasta then I rather have Japanese food so we went for a drive in Little Tokyo but no success! So we ended up eating at Shakey’s hahaha!

With my movie buddies, my cousins Sheila and Ivee and our good friend Lanz!

Can I be part of the Cullens instead?

A good friend of mine made a comment in one of my project 365 photos. Well, this is what he said: “VODKAHOLIC VAMPY: THE RED COLORED BOTTLE compliments and blend to your mane”. And I replied saying “thank you and I like that title: Vodkaholic Vampy!” But it didn’t stop there he made another comment this time stating the reasons why I deserve that title.

This is what he said:

You are most suitable candidate for the title VODKAHOLIC VAMPY, hahahha! Here are the reasons WHY:

* You are a night walker
* You are a Vodka Lover
* You are Victoria's exact replica (Twilight)
* Your mane and fashion statement is awe-inspiring.
* You are forever young LOL =P

I rofl with that statement and how great it was pointed out!

You are a night walker~ and I never sleep at night, we all know that I’m insomniac, that's why I rather work at night.

You are a Vodka Lover~ GUILTY! GUILTY! GUILTY! YES, my name is Levz and I’m a VODKAHOLIC! Lolz!

You are Victoria's exact replica (Twilight)~ That---I’m not so sure of! Victoria is brunette and her skin is pale white vs Me --well, my mane is quite reddish, I colored it red but being a natural Filipina we all know it would fail, hehehe, my skin is pale yes! But not white pale hahaha!

Your mane and fashion statement is awe-inspiring.~ Now, that is one compliment that I appreciate! I work hard to look great because if you look great everything else will follow. And I appreciate those who like my fashion sense, not too eccentric but a little edgy! And my hair is not as gorgeously straight or curly but I like it like that!

You are forever young LOL =P~ WOW Thanks! Thanks! Thanks! I’m on a my double curly age *nods up and down* and I still get a shot and glare whenever someone asks for my age and I answer it with full honesty, hehehe…I feel good to be branded as ageless!

I know this is narcissism at its finest, but when someone compliments you, you should be thankful and appreciative! Don’t be coy or shy! Just like what I always said “don’t be bashful!” Say Thanks! And gulp it all. After all we don’t get that every day, just don’t forget to pay it forward!

Now can I just be part of the Cullens!? HEHEHE!

Vanity's Gown Fitting!

Told you I’ll be a Maid of Honor this year twice in a row YAY!* My friends will be tying the knot of ropes in the wedding bed this December and I was task to guard those ropes like a good little girl scout. But you know how I do things in fashion, I mean Passion! *full head swing*

Last September Vanity set her gown fitting for her entourage at Imperial Palace Hotel and we all rushed there like giggly girls in command! It was a double event we also celebrated hers and Joel’s birthday. We had fun taking pictures and updating since we’ve been away from each other for a long period of time, and sure there are thousands of stories to be narrated and issues to be resolved.

It was a fun day filled with laughter and food and nope we don’t even drink~ this group are my goody bunch! we partey like a kiddy!

Now my next task is to set the bridal shower party for two of my bestestfriends, Vanity and Kaye. Thinking about it propels flutters in my stomach…boohoo!!! Levz, how fun can you go!? I’ll take that challenge anyways! Let’s GO!

More of the behind the scene:

The Bride-to-be: My Dearest Friend Vanity.

The Party of Five: with Joel, Westly, Lia, Vanity and Moi

The Photo Spree: with some of our friends and the Bride's friends!

Chocolate Fire ~ For your Dessert Lustful Desire!

Last Saturday my Gals and I went to celebrate my cousin Vivi and Joli’s Birthday we had dinner at Chungkiwa *Korean of course*, then after dinner we decided to go at Chocolate Fire for desserts and coffee.

*I was snatching photos while waiting for my turn to order but was told by one of the crew that they prohibit taking photos of their chocolate, good thing I was able to snatch some shots, hihihi Sorry, Promise I won't do it again*

Chocolate Fire is located at PDCP Building Corner of Leviste St. and Rufino St. Makati, It's the Chocolate Deli all the way from Australia and it's the home of the finest Belgian Chocolates here in Manila. They offer wide variety of chocolate, dozens of them *I had trouble choosing with my already fickle mind*, they also offer Coffee, Food and Drinks. There’s also a mini bar where you can drink and smoke, so it's a cafe, lounge, bar and resto all rolled into one.

I had Chocolate mousse and Cappuccino and the rest of the gals ordered Chocolate Dipped Pringles, American Dream Bark w/Cereals, Chocolate Ganache, Tiramisu and Abby ordered something that was molded in a small container in shapes of lips and heart…I don’t know how it is called. And for drinks they had Hot chocolate and Sheila Had Hot chocolate with soy milk. Everything was delicious, the chocolate was so smooth, it melts in your mouth and the sweetness is perfect, it will leave you craving for more. We shared our orders so that everyone will be able to experience each of our mouthwatering dessert!

I’m a chocolate lover although I’ve been restricting myself from eating too much chocolate. I love Dark Chocolates, it’s one of my guilt pleasure *aside from coffee* I would surely go back and try out some more of their Deli!

Well, we had fun and enjoyed the night with our table full of goodies but that doesn’t end there because while we were busy chatting and laughing the barista went to our table and serve us Raspberry Rum, I was like “oh, we didn’t order drinks…” he said “Ma’am, It’s on the house we are giving these to you for free” teehee! And we were all smiles saying thank you!

Chungkiwa for your Korean Food Cravings!

My cousin and I discovered this resto one time while looking for authentic Ramen *that she was craving* and Bibimbap *that I was dying to have that day*. First, we went to a ramen house but I find it weird that they are selling spaghetti so I said I don’t wanna eat there. So we went to Gen Luna where we saw Chungkiwa, they have a big tarpaulin outside the resto that shows their menu but it was all in Hangul. Looking at it, I thought that they might be serving authentic dish with affordable prices.

My first Stop:

We went inside and were greeted by Filipina servers, the restaurant setting was not that fancy, they have tables with grill holes and they have a fridge filled with huge array of side dishes. I never had a hard time ordering because I knew what I like but they still provide us the menu with Romanized characters and pictures. I ordered Dolsot Bibimpap and my cousin ordered Fish Cake. They started serving the banchan all 7 of them kimchi, macaroni salad, myulchi bokkem (dilis in sugar glazed), dubo jorim (tofu in soy sauce mix) and other preserved dish. The good thing about this resto is their side dishes can be refilled (unlimited) and they offer big serving. I’m happy with how they serve my bibimbap, it’s like I’m really eating in Korea. The owner is a Korean that's why they know how to prepare the food in a traditional way and their ingredients are authentic not to mention the price is super affordable.

The food:

After a few weeks I went back to Chungkiwa to bring my agents and they were all satisfied. We tried most of their dishes and we were all happy with how it taste. We had Samyeopsal wrap in sangchu (grilled pork belly wrap in lettuce), soondubujjigae (soft tofu stew with beef in spicy soup) , Seolleongtang (Beef stew with cellophane noodles and beef slices), Gimbap (rice wrap in seaweed) with Octopus, Bibimbap ( Spinach, mushroom, sea tangle, carrots, bean sprouts, beef slices, egg toppings served with gochujang and rice, you have to mix it well and add the rice and gochujang depending on the level of spiciness that you like), Sushi Bibimbap ( just like the regular bibimbap the beef was just replaced with sushi). We also tried drinking soju! After our meal they serve us Insam Cha a Korean ginseng tea and it's for free whenever you eat there.

The happy eaters ^^v:

I went to Mega mall and eat at a Korean restaurant there but I was disappointed with how they prepare my food. I told myself that I will never in other Korean resto but only in Chungkiwa, nothing can beat their food.

For 365: Camwhoring @ Chungkiwa ^^:

Chungkiwa is located in Gen Luna, Makati. They are open from 10am- 12pm, if you want more info you can call them at (02)385-1069. They have Filipino waitresses that can help you choose the food that you like and are willing to explain the dishes so you won’t be disappointed with your orders. I give them two thumbs up!
