I Doddle Oodles of Noodles

Few days before our Halloween party I was approached to help in designing the place for our celebration. At first Mutya was asking for the white gown, the gown I wore last 2009. I said, what for? She said she’ll hang it as a display. I told her, well, our party’s theme is cosplay and we should follow that theme. So I suggested another idea.

My idea is to create a back draft for the party and design it with doodles. Kawaii doodles of modern but cartoonish type of drawings. And since it was my suggestion she asked me a favor to do it, which I merrily accepted since I love doodling-- a lot. So I search for some ideas and patterns to follow and I found some drafts upon searching here on the internet.

Just give me this last 3 days in moody June

Ok, so it’s been like more than a month since I last posted here in mygoodriddance…that was long and annoying. We’ll I won’t rant about how busy my schedule was and yadahyadah, since it’s not new anymore but instead let me just put some random photos of my collection and what not and tell random stories that I can recall. So here it goes:

Daraitan: Open your Eyes!

Summer 2011 is indeed my busiest summer ever. I have gone to the beach, saw some magnificent falls, climbed a beautiful mountain and was finally was able to trek a river. I have to say that once I completed those four journeys there is no stopping. I still have to continue for this growing passion is getting big and I have to swim more seas, climb more mountains, search for more falls and trail on more river.

Daraitan is an easy destination for those who long for natures love, easy access and less strenuous (just don’t count the rock climb/descend). It only took us an hour to reach our destination (haha). Well, they told us (for newbies) sometimes it takes about 2 hours or more before reaching the campsite. Maybe we’re not so new anymore. Maybe that trek had baptized us. Now I’m aiming for a major hike that will touch all the four elements.

More! More! Stories!

I love surprises! Last April 13 my team surprised me by decorating my work area with balloons and colorful papers. They also cooked Pancit (sautéed rice noodles), bought flowers and cake for my birthday. They even prepared the drinks and utensils to be used, whew!. I, on the other hand just bought Pandesal and Peanut butter plus Ice Cream. I didn't come to work on my actual birthday because I wanted to spend the entire day with Wacky. But just the same my team was able to give me the most sweetest surprise ^^

I love this People!
Thank you guys! Thank you for all the love and

On my birthday eve, Wacky went home a little late, but we still manage to do our plan, our slumber partey. We stayed up until 3am eating Ice cream, chips, watching cartoons, reading books and playing. I love Wacky to death. I'm his no.1 fan! lol

I’m Blank!

Summer Love!
Ok, I know that I failed (almost) to put here my activity for the month of March and April. First off, I’m feeling a little lazy (it’s nothing but natural) and I’ve been writing and deleting all that are suppose to be posted here, moody me. My spirit have been high these past few months but from time to time I feel sluggish (which reminds me how normal my life is), plus I’ve been sleeping a lot and the tons of pictures to be posted are taking much of my time. In Bora we have a total of 2000++ photos and In Gulugod almost 800 Photos. Take that!

Let me tell you that I’ve been to places these past few weeks. As what I have written on my last post, yeah I went to the beach, Boracay Baby! And I’m going to give a full account of what happened there (I went Man Hunting- chinky eyes searching, actually. jk!) and the things that you can do to enjoy your stay. Watch out for my Boracay entry. Then just recently I went mountain climbing to Mt. Gulugod Baboy, Mabini, Batangas, I’ll be describing the place although you can also find some information in some blogs here at WWW but mine will be for kikays (make face) hahahaha! Our next stop will be river trekking in Daraitan and after that, we are still laying the plan whether to take Mt. Daguldol, Piko De Loro, Mt. Sembrano, Mt Batulao or swim the waters of Pagbilao in Borawan and Lukang Beach first. Whatever comes first it doesn’t really matter, just the same we’ll be having fun and making good memories.

I’ll be posting some of my favorite photos for preview today and will be spamming on my next post soon. Ready!?

Lessons of 2010

One thing that I’ve learn this year is that the only thing that is constant is change, we change a lot, people change may it be for better or for worst—they change. You can’t be too complacent, you can’t be too trusting, and you can’t be too assumptive. You should put value in yourself and believe in your heart. And amidst all those changes I have learned to look at those who are still standing still, those who showed loyalty. All in all this year was not bad.

Christmas Vacation el Grande!

Holiday! Celebrate! Yessss! I’m doing Madonna’s tiptoe while singing Holiday because after all these years… this will be my first time taking a full Christmas vacation, four days!!! Take note that’s without filing a leave, plus I’ll be enjoying the same this New Year. Four days that is sooooo sweeeet!
The downside of working in a call center is the inability to feel the long weekend, in fact Philippine Holiday doesn’t exist unless you are counting double pay, and in my vocabulary there is no such thing as double pay, but I use the word “in lieu” a lot! Yep, the call center industries.

Budjie & Vanity's Red Wedding!

Vanity and Budjie’s Wedding…The much awaited event! Everything went smoothly the way it was planned. Travel was the wedding theme mainly because this couple loves travelling. It was overwhelming how my friend Vanity has planned her dream wedding starting with the invitation (passport and plane tickets to their wedding) to the color scheme to every details like the church, reception, the table assignment which was named after all the places they’ve been to— just to name a few Hongkong, Macau, Singapore, Bohol, Boracay, Palawan, Cebu and much more, their souvenirs which came from those different places and not to mention the after party!

The Bachelorette partey! Vanity Speak thy Name!

My head’s still pounding from last night’s party! The reasons why I won’t be able to describe everything that transpired between 7pm and 12am...ummm... oh well, blame all those alcoholic beverages *told you self dozens of times, you can’t drink all the available alcohol in the table!*

The party's theme was Sex and the City and of course everyone one was required to come in with their nice little outfits and they all look fantabulous^^. We had a special guess and I don’t know what happened but we all died after those two songs, haha! It was a successful party, we had simple food and drinks but the most important part of throwing a bridal shower is the presence of the Bride’s friends. Luckily almost everyone made it.

The location is in VC Pasig and the room was marvelous. Austin Power room~ all I can say is “yeah baby yeah!” *Mike Myers Accent*

I had fun and I hope everyone does too! One good thing I lurve about this event is that I’ve gain a lot of new friends!

Oh well, I have to start working on the next bridal shower…This time it’s for Kaye! Don’t we just love being a girl!

The Party Girls!

And these are the Girls who will never grow up! Playful kids!

My Little Secret!

I am going to let you guys know a little secret. The things that I like doing the most are playing the guitar and listening to music. Yes I’m a frustrated guitarist and I’m not really good a playing it, but I can say I’m trying, neh? You can say maybe I’m a little trying hard but…, oh well, we all have our own little things that we wish we are really good at. Hehehe!

I tried doing this as a 52 weeks project aside from what I’m currently doing now (365 project in FB). I was planning to do this for 52 weeks but my busy schedule won’t allow me to do so, as a result after 3 covers I gave up! This project was supposed to be called my Dorkette Covert Version but it never happen, I quit just like that. But I will never quit playing music maybe I’ll continue this after the 365 which is by the way I’m falling behind, hehehehe!

So here’s my Dorkette Covert Version of “Smile like you mean it” by The Killers!

Video is kinda delay from the audio, I don't know why, but i'll find out soon, this is my first time recording vidi from my lappy so please bear w/ it! LQ Video Dug! (I hope the Killers will not kill me! HAHAHAHA!) Peace!

Another Cover from Smashing Pumpkins and I really like this song, It means a lot to me. It's Called "Sweet Sweet."

Confined within the four corners of my room while the AC's in full blast oh yeah! *Cough* Sneeze*Cough*Sniff*.
Sweet Sweet is one of Corgan’s great creations in Siamese Dream Album('92) it’s a very short 1:38 min song but it gives away a lot of meaning. SP usually ends their gig with this song…
THEY SAY: Everyone’s expecting you to conform to life’s routinely cycle and take it as it is, but when everything else sucks in between! I say: Deviate!
AND THEY ALL WANT YOU TO CHANGE!?

I'm not Perfect but this is what I like to do the most! Cheers to Music and the Great Life!

Vanity's Gown Fitting!

Told you I’ll be a Maid of Honor this year twice in a row YAY!* My friends will be tying the knot of ropes in the wedding bed this December and I was task to guard those ropes like a good little girl scout. But you know how I do things in fashion, I mean Passion! *full head swing*

Last September Vanity set her gown fitting for her entourage at Imperial Palace Hotel and we all rushed there like giggly girls in command! It was a double event we also celebrated hers and Joel’s birthday. We had fun taking pictures and updating since we’ve been away from each other for a long period of time, and sure there are thousands of stories to be narrated and issues to be resolved.

It was a fun day filled with laughter and food and nope we don’t even drink~ this group are my goody bunch! we partey like a kiddy!

Now my next task is to set the bridal shower party for two of my bestestfriends, Vanity and Kaye. Thinking about it propels flutters in my stomach…boohoo!!! Levz, how fun can you go!? I’ll take that challenge anyways! Let’s GO!

More of the behind the scene:

The Bride-to-be: My Dearest Friend Vanity.

The Party of Five: with Joel, Westly, Lia, Vanity and Moi

The Photo Spree: with some of our friends and the Bride's friends!

The bathroom scene: With two of my good friend Lia and Christian

Crashing waves in the middle of October sky: My October wish!

Welcome me October! What do we have in store for each other? Well, your first few days I can see that I, myself, with my steadily poor sleeping habit is deprived from slumber which is nothing new by the way. Your first stride was a little difficult with all the interviews and now training and what else do I get from you but the busiest schedule in terms of work, so far in 3 days…but I have one wish can you please take me to the beach?

Nothing warms my heart but the waves splashing noisily as your October sky gives my visage a little drizzle from your overcast clouds and the wind caressing my hair to fall and sway in mess on my quiet face, what a sight to see, what a feeling to take pleasure in. As strange as it may seems but I find calmness in your howl, it’s the peace I’d like to call mine, I desire the rainy days in your shore.

I will never deny the cheerful feeling you bring me whenever I am under your beach summer sky but as I mature I see things in a different perspective, maybe it makes me more confident knowing that I can find serenity in your most furious surge. The feeling it gives me as I tempt your tide to rush and pull me and the assurance I get that not even the strongest wind or wave can move my ground for I am rooted firmly in your sand. It makes me feel stronger and more human, susceptible to perils but bold and courageous. I like to breathe the freedom that I have seen in your strange tranquility!

I wish to see you beach and play under your October sky! Comfort me October blues!

Chocolate Fire ~ For your Dessert Lustful Desire!

Last Saturday my Gals and I went to celebrate my cousin Vivi and Joli’s Birthday we had dinner at Chungkiwa *Korean of course*, then after dinner we decided to go at Chocolate Fire for desserts and coffee.

*I was snatching photos while waiting for my turn to order but was told by one of the crew that they prohibit taking photos of their chocolate, good thing I was able to snatch some shots, hihihi Sorry, Promise I won't do it again*

Chocolate Fire is located at PDCP Building Corner of Leviste St. and Rufino St. Makati, It's the Chocolate Deli all the way from Australia and it's the home of the finest Belgian Chocolates here in Manila. They offer wide variety of chocolate, dozens of them *I had trouble choosing with my already fickle mind*, they also offer Coffee, Food and Drinks. There’s also a mini bar where you can drink and smoke, so it's a cafe, lounge, bar and resto all rolled into one.

I had Chocolate mousse and Cappuccino and the rest of the gals ordered Chocolate Dipped Pringles, American Dream Bark w/Cereals, Chocolate Ganache, Tiramisu and Abby ordered something that was molded in a small container in shapes of lips and heart…I don’t know how it is called. And for drinks they had Hot chocolate and Sheila Had Hot chocolate with soy milk. Everything was delicious, the chocolate was so smooth, it melts in your mouth and the sweetness is perfect, it will leave you craving for more. We shared our orders so that everyone will be able to experience each of our mouthwatering dessert!

I’m a chocolate lover although I’ve been restricting myself from eating too much chocolate. I love Dark Chocolates, it’s one of my guilt pleasure *aside from coffee* I would surely go back and try out some more of their Deli!

Well, we had fun and enjoyed the night with our table full of goodies but that doesn’t end there because while we were busy chatting and laughing the barista went to our table and serve us Raspberry Rum, I was like “oh, we didn’t order drinks…” he said “Ma’am, It’s on the house we are giving these to you for free” teehee! And we were all smiles saying thank you!

The Super Random Roadtrip to Tagaytay!

Long weekend, my cousins and I was feeling kinda bored so we planned a last minute trip. At 11pm, Sunday night we decided to head for a ride. The plan was to go somewhere *unsure* but we have to drop by at our cousin’s dorm in Carmona, Cavite. The reason (unbelievable): he forgot his cellphone charger and he wants us to bring it to him. Wow! For the time, gas and the toll fee just for a cellphone charger! But since we'll be going to Cavite we thought that we’ll just drop by at Tagaytay and eat somewhere.

The roadtrip is so freaking random. First, we tried looking for away going to Tagaytay thru Carmona and realized after few kilometers that’s its too far, end up going back. Exiting carmona and going to Sta. Rosa we only spend 4 pesos for the toll fee and finally found our way. When we arrived at Tagaytay we don’t have any exact place in mind so we went back and forth the highway looking for a place to eat. Maybe eat Bulalo or eat at one of the restos, then have coffee and laugh at Starbucks after. Unfortunately, since we left Manila at 11pm we arrived at Tagaytay at past 1am, all the restaurants were close. hahaha! but there's McDonald, the only place that is open 24hours. Arrgh!

After which, we thought that the trip was a waste but we still wanna drag ourselves and try our luck. So we started looking for a coffee shop since Starbucks is already close. Again we are wasting precious time and gas driving around Tagaytay. At 3am we quit looking for coffee and ended up taking pictures at Tagaytay Econo Hotel, hahaha! Just like your regular Duday and Dodong but since its 3am no one was there to notice our mischievous trip and we just don’t care, we’re just too happy to mind other people who are watching us!

We stop at a long line of flower vendors, my aim is to take my 365 on that area and I was welcomed by a vendor who thought I’ll be buying flowers, hehehe! So I have to think of a way to snatch pictures, I ended up inquiring for wedding flower arrangement and getting their contact infos and whatnot, *lols sorry ate!* We also stop by some fruit stands but there’s no one to assist us so we left. We had stopovers at some pitstop and gasoline stations just for the sake of stopping over. lols

We had so much fun that night and we promise to do it again. By the way, we didn't quit searching for coffee shop on our way down Tagaytay but luck is not on our side. I wonder if the coffee Gods are punishing us and we end up drinking coffee at home! hahaha! nothing beats 3-in-1 coffee! Darn!

And this is The Most Awesomeness (Random) Photo of the Day:

I took this inside the car on our way home while waiting for Nico who's buying cig at 7/11. I was amazed with the outcome, totally random nice selca. I really like this shot. I didn't even use my SLR just the regular digicam and edit the photo using Picasa, add shadow and manipulate the color and walla! A Perfect Artistic Profile Shot!

Chungkiwa for your Korean Food Cravings!

My cousin and I discovered this resto one time while looking for authentic Ramen *that she was craving* and Bibimbap *that I was dying to have that day*. First, we went to a ramen house but I find it weird that they are selling spaghetti so I said I don’t wanna eat there. So we went to Gen Luna where we saw Chungkiwa, they have a big tarpaulin outside the resto that shows their menu but it was all in Hangul. Looking at it, I thought that they might be serving authentic dish with affordable prices.

My first Stop:

We went inside and were greeted by Filipina servers, the restaurant setting was not that fancy, they have tables with grill holes and they have a fridge filled with huge array of side dishes. I never had a hard time ordering because I knew what I like but they still provide us the menu with Romanized characters and pictures. I ordered Dolsot Bibimpap and my cousin ordered Fish Cake. They started serving the banchan all 7 of them kimchi, macaroni salad, myulchi bokkem (dilis in sugar glazed), dubo jorim (tofu in soy sauce mix) and other preserved dish. The good thing about this resto is their side dishes can be refilled (unlimited) and they offer big serving. I’m happy with how they serve my bibimbap, it’s like I’m really eating in Korea. The owner is a Korean that's why they know how to prepare the food in a traditional way and their ingredients are authentic not to mention the price is super affordable.

The food:

After a few weeks I went back to Chungkiwa to bring my agents and they were all satisfied. We tried most of their dishes and we were all happy with how it taste. We had Samyeopsal wrap in sangchu (grilled pork belly wrap in lettuce), soondubujjigae (soft tofu stew with beef in spicy soup) , Seolleongtang (Beef stew with cellophane noodles and beef slices), Gimbap (rice wrap in seaweed) with Octopus, Bibimbap ( Spinach, mushroom, sea tangle, carrots, bean sprouts, beef slices, egg toppings served with gochujang and rice, you have to mix it well and add the rice and gochujang depending on the level of spiciness that you like), Sushi Bibimbap ( just like the regular bibimbap the beef was just replaced with sushi). We also tried drinking soju! After our meal they serve us Insam Cha a Korean ginseng tea and it's for free whenever you eat there.

The happy eaters ^^v:

I went to Mega mall and eat at a Korean restaurant there but I was disappointed with how they prepare my food. I told myself that I will never in other Korean resto but only in Chungkiwa, nothing can beat their food.

For 365: Camwhoring @ Chungkiwa ^^:

Chungkiwa is located in Gen Luna, Makati. They are open from 10am- 12pm, if you want more info you can call them at (02)385-1069. They have Filipino waitresses that can help you choose the food that you like and are willing to explain the dishes so you won’t be disappointed with your orders. I give them two thumbs up!

jalmugutseumnida! Kamsahamnida!^^
