New Year’s resolution—is the only solution!

Cliché! Cliché! People will always promise the things that they will do and will not each time they welcome another year; I’ve done that too many times. When I was about 9 yrs old my little self have come to learn the meaning of New Year’s resolution. Based on what I’ve understand it’s something you made up to sound cool, nice and pretend that you’re some sort of goody two shoes or trying to act like one of the norms (because everyone’s vowing their resolutions and so you join the dumdumb), but in reality it’s something you realized and hope to change but always fail, because in reality that’s just your imagination run riot, in the end you feel bad after assessing all your failures! Yeah I’m giving you the liberty of pitying my NYR meaning lols!
BUT! But! But! I’m going to change my style; I Levz (last name) will try to believe in the spirit of New Year’s Resolution and will try work hard to reach my set goals for the year 2011 by giving myself a more realistic option:

Lessons of 2010

One thing that I’ve learn this year is that the only thing that is constant is change, we change a lot, people change may it be for better or for worst—they change. You can’t be too complacent, you can’t be too trusting, and you can’t be too assumptive. You should put value in yourself and believe in your heart. And amidst all those changes I have learned to look at those who are still standing still, those who showed loyalty. All in all this year was not bad.

Christmas Vacation el Grande!

Holiday! Celebrate! Yessss! I’m doing Madonna’s tiptoe while singing Holiday because after all these years… this will be my first time taking a full Christmas vacation, four days!!! Take note that’s without filing a leave, plus I’ll be enjoying the same this New Year. Four days that is sooooo sweeeet!
The downside of working in a call center is the inability to feel the long weekend, in fact Philippine Holiday doesn’t exist unless you are counting double pay, and in my vocabulary there is no such thing as double pay, but I use the word “in lieu” a lot! Yep, the call center industries.

My Heart is Singing

Merry Christmas everyone--- Of course, I’m singing my heart out at this blog…I don’t know but something's making me smile today. Not too happy but the fact that I know that someone out there is spreading some magic it’s never too late to have a merry day.
One thing I’ve learn from all the weddings that I have attended this year, not only those I have partake in, but each and every girl I know who had their wedding this year taught me that patience is important.

MAKE LOVE NOT WAR! RAWRRRR!

We saw that placard yesterday while waiting for a ride and I took it thinking that that will be a nice props…it says MAKE LOVE NOT WAR!
I was thinking who could have left it there but since its Christmas I assumed it’s from one of those Christmas party goers who dressed up in a hippie costume and decided to throw his placard on the street maybe because it has no use anymore or maybe he wanted to reach out and spread world peace (dope! peace^^)…
So I took the camera out and start snatching pictures…I don’t care whoever pass by and see us…They don’t know us anyways. Then a guard came and our conversation went like this:

Budjie & Vanity's Red Wedding!

Vanity and Budjie’s Wedding…The much awaited event! Everything went smoothly the way it was planned. Travel was the wedding theme mainly because this couple loves travelling. It was overwhelming how my friend Vanity has planned her dream wedding starting with the invitation (passport and plane tickets to their wedding) to the color scheme to every details like the church, reception, the table assignment which was named after all the places they’ve been to— just to name a few Hongkong, Macau, Singapore, Bohol, Boracay, Palawan, Cebu and much more, their souvenirs which came from those different places and not to mention the after party!

Kaye’s Bridal Shower!

This is soooo overdue but I promise myself that I will blog about the things that took place this month according to the succession of events. So I’m not in a hurry to write about the most recent happenings but I will go through it one by one till I reach the most current and that is Kaye’s wedding, the last wedding that I’ll be serving as a maid of honor ---at least for this year. ^^

Shugo Tokumaru the Genius Songwriter/ Multi-Instrumentalist!

My December is filled with Shugo Tokumarus’s music and I can’t get enough of it! What I like about his music is the layering of sounds he went beyond the regular 4-5 piece instruments. Tokumaru’s music is dreamy, artsy, whimsical and ambitious that’s how I would like to describe his music. It’s fresh and adventurous and honestly his music opens my heart to toy instruments like toy piano, xylophone, toy ukulele, steel drums, glockenspiel, accordions, bird whistle and others. He has this freakish ability to control those instruments to make it sound like it was naturally put there like pieces of a puzzle.

Hey World, Meet Enzo!

My activities are all filed up this month starting with Angelo Enzo’s greeting to the world “Hello there Enzo!” I cannot describe the feeling of being an auntie, hehehe, it’s really different from the feeling of being a mom, lols of course! I feel that I have a responsibility to assist my brother and being the eldest among us it’s my task to make sure that he gets the advice and support or even just being there would greatly help him calm his nerves. I’ve experience the agony of waiting just like all the dads were able to experience, I was anxious and praying for Joanne to have a safe and normal delivery…Man! if I can only smoke in the waiting area I’m sure I’ll burn my lungs with 2 cig per sec. Hahaha! I called out almost everyone in the Fam bam the moment my brother called me and asked me to bring their stuffs in the hospital. My cousins are there while waiting for Enzo to come out, hehehe the funny thing is, the kid waited for all of us to leave before showing up to the world.. Doing it with Style Enzo! Bravo!

Enzo an eight pounder baby was Born @ 8: 47 am, Sunday 12.5.10

Hohoho December, yeah I’m late!

Well better late than never right!? This season is really festive for me. Here are the reasons why:

  • The birth of Angelo Enzo my niece
  • Kaye’s Bridal shower
  • Vanity’s wedding *I’ll be the maid of honor
  • Kaye’s wedding *I’ll be the maid of honor (Again?) hahaha
  • And lots and lots of parties!

Its overload December and I don’t know how I can divide myself but I’ll find ways ^^ and guess what? I’m almost half way done! Hehehe!

The picture above was taken at Holiday Inn, morning after Kaye's Bachelorette Party. I was enjoying their breakfast and while requesting for my double sunny side up eggs the chef asked me "Ma'am are you a balikbayan? from which country!?" and I chuckled saying from the land of the East! hahaha Rizal! Lols and we both laugh it off!
